| Pischiano is a good base for visiting all
the famous places in Tuscany, Umbria and the Marche which are
within easy reach without arduous and lengthy journeys.
It is, however, necessary to have a car because
public transport while good just does not provide the necessary
flexibility and to our knowledge there really are no taxis
in the area.
Florence, Siena and the other well known
places in western Tuscany are less than two hours away. Arezzo,
Assisi, Perugia and Lake Trasimeno are about an hour or so
away. Todi, Urbino and Ravenna can be reached in about an
hour and a half. It is even possible to slip down to Rome
quite quickly.
